A Truckers Life
Why do some people choose the trucker life? Its long hours, and you have to be many days away from friends and family. You have to deal with traffic, D.O.T. inspections, breakdowns, and unhealthy truck stop food, just to list a few of the many aggravations truckers face daily.
So why would anyone in their right mind wants to be a trucker? There are some rewards to being a trucker.

- Great pay without a higher education
- Free travel all over the country
- Job can’t be outsourced
- Always plenty of companies in need of truckers
It’s pretty easy to get a CDL in most states. All you need to do is go to a truck driving school for a couple weeks and you become a trucker.
Most big companies will pair you up with an experienced driver for the first couple months, then you get your own truck to run.
And remember, if you ever have a breakdown in the Atlanta area, you can always call Capitol Diesel to get you back on the road. They do mechanical repairs roadside and in their Fairburn shop.
